Cancer is included in the second list of groups that cause death. The number of cancer patients is currently increasing, even in Indonesia depending on the number that causes death. Tongue cancer is a type of cancer in the oral cavity that often occurs and has a high prevalence.
Ciplukan (Physalis angulata L.) has cytotoxic activity in cancer cells, which is able to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells and inhibit the cell cycle. This study examines the potential of ciplukan ethanolic extract (EEC) as an anticancer tongue and understands EEC in increasing the apoptosis of tongue cancer cells injected by DMBA. The use of plants as anticancer drugs is mostly still extracted from certain parts that grow in the realms of liars or those that have been cultivated. This method has many disadvantages, very beneficial for the season, planting certain chemicals after reaching a certain age. Therefore, alternative cultivation is needed to produce secondary metabolite compounds and can overcome these limitations.
Therefore, the purpose of this literature study is to study and provide assistance and efficacy of ciplukan plants from several sources that have been supported.
