Studi Literatur PENGARUH AROMATERAPI INHALASI LEMON TERHADAP PENURUNAN NYERI PERSALINAN KALA I FASE AKTIF

Abstract

Lemon aromatherapy contains limonene which can inhibit prostaglandins so that it can reduce labor pain. Limonene controls cyclooxygenase I and II, prevents prostaglandin activity and reduces pain. The lemon inhalation aromatherapy method is carried out for 30 minutes and breath guidance for 30 minutes is done repeatedly.

This study is a literature review that attempts to explore the use of lemon inhalation aromatherapy to decrease labor pain during the active phase. Sources for this literature review include the study of systematic searches for computerized databases (pupmed, ebscohost, and google cendiki). selected in English and Indonesian which features text in its entirety. The literature in the form of research journals totaling 12 journals from the official website. Writing this article uses the writing of the Vancouver bibliography.

One effort to reduce pain in post partum mothers is aromatherapy. The use of inhaled aromatherapy can stimulate the release of endorphins so that it can reduce pain. Bitter orange aromatherapy (Citrus Aurantium) is a non-pharmacological therapy to reduce pain in women giving birth to the 1st stage.
