Abstract

The development of a city is born from the past which has traveled from time to time, every event that occurs is a witness to the development of a city like the beginning of an emerging civilization. The formation of a city has gone through various periods of change that often change the shape of the city. The increasing regional growth as happened in the city of Pariaman with early development influenced by the trade that occurred in the waters of the west coast of Sumatra to form a trading port and the changes that occurred with the reclamation of the coast that occurred caused changes in the physical shape of the coast of the city of Pariaman.
